ABOUT JOAN HARRISON
Joan began her career in the 70’s as a professional dancer with extensive engagements
throughout Europe and by the 80’s she had started her own business Reflex Fitness.
Throughout the 90’s she developed the business and expanded her knowledge of the industry.
In 2001 Joan created her unique holistic approach to Pilates and launched Reflex Pilates.
Shortly after she designed and implemented her own Health and Fitness Suite which incorporates a Pilates Studio,
a Therapy Room and a Cardiovascular Gym. More recently a Clinical Reformer has been installed taking Pilates
movement to the next level.
She released her Self Healing Method of Core Stability Introductory Programme in 2007, her Beginner Programme
in 2008 and the Intermediate Programme is due to be released in 2009.
Joan currently presents 6 weekly classes at the Broadstone Methodist Church Hall.

In her Health & Fitness Suite she holds a weekly Personal Training day on a 1:1 basis for clients referred by local
Physiotherapists and Chiropractors.
Joan also holds a Weekly Clinic day for Bowen Technique and she helps clients with a Weight Loss Programme
to improve Health and Wellbeing.

Joan loves her work because it helps others to develop a sense of body awareness and the need to replenish not
deplete energy.

She now has over 30 years experience in the fitness industry and is an advanced fitness instructor and personal trainer
working with Reflex Pilates Method, Bowen Technique, Chi- Ball Method  & Posture Training.
Fully covered by an Instructors Public Liability Insurance with The Fitness Professionals with whom I hold Membership.
